Saltie Gets a Health Check

Saltie has officially been pulled out of the saltwater and is heading south for a bit of fresh water.

She’s also just had her full survey done, with all the major checks ticked off, so she’s good for another five years. Always nice knowing the old girl has had a proper check-up and is safe as houses.

Fully AMSA surveyed and accredited, too, so you can rest easy knowing you're out there on a bloody good, safe vessel.

The Humpty Doon Reno Is Finally Done

We finally got the internal reno at the Humpty Doon wrapped up.

Jays even had to retire the territory fishing work boots (Crocs) for a few days and put on the high-vis and proper work boots!

A bit of elbow grease later and she's all sorted, now tenanted while we head down south for a while.

The Pool Decided to Kick Off

And because apparently we didn't have enough on our plate, the pool decided to spring a leak two days before we were due to leave.

Perfect timing!

Nothing like a last-minute plumbing drama to keep things interesting. What a bloody drama!

Dundee Beach & A Much-Needed Reset

Before heading south, we snuck away to Dundee Beach for a cracking weekend with Kate, Matt and Clancy.

A bit of good food, good company and some recreational fishing for ourselves was just what the doctor ordered. Bloody good for the soul.

Unfortunately, the fish didn't seem to get the memo. It just wasn't our day out there!

Southbound

So, with Saltie surveyed, the Humpty Doon reno ticked off and the leaking pool added to the list of things we’ll pretend never happened, it’s time to head south.

A bit of downtime, a change of scenery and hopefully a few fish that actually want to play.
