🌏 First International Clients
August kicked off with a milestone we won’t forget anytime soon — welcoming our very first international fishos, Alco, Saskia and fam ALL the way from Holland! They travelled to chase barra with us in the Top End. Their son Meno caught his first barra too! So we were stoked!
To make the trip even more special, they also stayed with us at Humpty Doon Campgrounds. It gave them the full NT experience — fishing by day, and relaxing with a swim by evening. Watching them soak up both the fishing and the lifestyle reminded us why we love sharing our patch of the world with people.

Meanwhile, back on dry land, our Just Doon It shirts have been flying off the shelves. We’re nearly sold out, and it’s been unreal. Most of our clients turned up to the boat ramp already decked out in JDI gear — talk about commitment! If you’ve been thinking of grabbing one, better be quick, they’re just about gone.

The girls at Foul Hookers also kept the momentum rolling with their second drop.
They’ve been sharing the behind-the-scenes journey, the new gear, and a few laughs along the way. We’re always thankful for the full blown support from our community of female fishos!

It might sound mad to be talking about Runoff 2026, that’s March, April & May 2026 - but trust us — barra season is one of those experiences you want locked in early!

👋 Surprise Visits & Farewells
August wasn’t just about fishing — we had plenty happening on shore too.
Kate’s mate Jade dropped in for a surprise visit, bringing plenty of laughs and keeping us all entertained.
On a bittersweet note, we also said farewell to Jayson’s parents, Steve and Jayne. They’ve been soaking up the NT lifestyle with us for a while now, and it was hard to see them go. They’ll be back for a visit soon enough!
The campgrounds have never looked so good with Steve on the job!
Wrapping Up August
Looking back, August was one for the books — milestones, laughs, plenty of barra, and a growing JDI community both on and off the water.
