New Year, Same Chaos, More Bookings
January didn’t ease us into the year gently, it launched straight into it! The new year kicked off with new bookings rolling in, calendars getting marked up and that familiar buzz that tells us the season is lining up nicely. Nothing beats starting the year knowing we’ve got plenty of good times ahead on the water. 🔥
Once a Nurse, Always a Nurse
Kate dusted off her nurse hat and slipped straight back into old habits, playing carer and support crew for her sister Amy’s trip to Melbourne for surgery. Between appointments, laughs and keeping everyone calm, it was clear those nursing days are still very much alive. ❤️🩹
Thankfully, everything went smoothly and Amy was well looked after.
Back Home, The Tools Were Calling
While Kate was away, Jays was holding the fort back home and spending plenty of time on the tools. No rest, no fuss, just getting things done and keeping the wheels turning like he always does. 🔧We are always so grateful to our Wenty clients who always keep us in work - special mention to Mick & Michael Page - a father son duo who always have a job lined up, as well as our mate Garry - tonnes of fun!
Visitors, Visitors and More Visitors!
January was big on visitors and we loved every minute of it!
Kate’s old nursing mate Julie came to stay with her bloke Greg and it was a proper catch up with plenty of stories and laughs.

Not long after, Sue, Cuzo, Amy, Bobbo and Matilda rolled through and the riverbank got a whole lot louder. Kate & Jays even started teaching Matilda the ropes fishing and she jumped straight in, keen as mustard and loving it!

When Wenty Turned Up the Heat
Just when we thought summer had already shown us everything, Wenty cranked it up to a wild 50 degrees! 🌡️🔥 Absolute furnace conditions!
The river became our best friend with lots of swimming, dunking and cooling off just to survive the day.
Despite the heat, there was plenty of time for catching up with mates, sharing laughs and making the most of those long summer days.
The kind of moments that remind us why we love this place and the people in it.

What’s Coming Next?
Runoff is just around the corner and we are beyond excited. There have been EPIC rains this year, the change in the water and the promise of what’s coming has us counting down the days.
Jays leaves with our good mates Darren & Terry for the trip back to the NT on 23rd Jan. We wish him well navigating floods and lord knows what else on that trip.
On top of that, we’ve dropped brand new JUST DOON IT shirts and they’re now up for pre order. Hit the link, check them out and make sure you grab one!
Big things are coming and we’re ready for it! 🎣🔥
