Hello, Dooners! October’s been a cracker of a month at Just Doon It!
Between birthday celebrations, bathroom sweats, and dodging bad hair days, we’ve been keeping busy both on and off the water. Here’s the lowdown:
Celebrating Matt Youngs’ Birthday in Style
What better way to celebrate a birthday than with a rod in hand and a Barra on the line?
Matt Youngs spent his birthday out on the boat with his crew, and let’s just say his son, Daniel, stole the show.
The little bloke caught his first-ever Barramundi, and yep – it was a keeper! Someone give that kid a trophy.
Matt, mate, your birthday couldn’t have gone any better!
A Big Shoutout to Gwyn, Our Virtual Assistant Extraordinaire
We couldn’t let October slip by without giving a huge shoutout to Gwyn, our Virtual Assistant.
She’s really found her rhythm and has been an absolute gem for the Just Doon It team! Whether it’s keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes or making sure we’re all on track, she’s been a lifesaver.
Gwyn, you’re smashing it – thanks for everything you do!
Jays’ Bathroom Renovation Saga – Sweating Bullets!
Meanwhile, back on land, Jays has been absolutely SWEATING through some bathroom renos.
Seriously, it’s been like a tropical heatwave, and poor Jays has been stuck indoors laying tiles and probably dreaming of cooler days and cold beers.
🍺 His words? “No more grout, please!”
We are looking forward to more fishing and less sweating for him next year!

Kate’s Exit from Humpty Doon – No More Humidity! Yay!
Big changes are happening! Kate has officially said farewell to the Humpty Doon property and is heading south to escape the heat and humidity for the summer.
No more sticky weather or battling with frizzy hair for her!
We know she’ll come back refreshed and ready to take on more adventures with us - and will be up North to support Capt’n Doon for the RunOff in March.
